Faith and baptism courses

Berlin Cathedral has a whole host of offers for those interested in discovering or deepening their own faith, in participating in shared reflection and in further education. During the months of January and February each year, we invite you to the faith workshop entitled ‘Why believe?’, which is held on six consecutive evenings. The course is intended for people who are in search of, and wish to engage in the Evangelical faith. If you have already made the decision and would like to join the Church, you may visit our baptism course as part of your preparation.

Conversations over bread and wine

The conversations over bread and wine are open discussion evenings that deal with fundamental issues of the Christian faith. Topical questions are discussed here, including questions such as what significance the Cross still has in today’s society? The evenings are aimed at anyone who wishes to learn and share with others.

Evangelical learning (‘Evangelisches Lehrhaus’)

On every fourth Tuesday in the month, we invite you to a Bible study afternoon held in Gemeinderaum I between 3 PM and 4:30 PM. Between 3 PM and 3:30 PM we first like to take some time to catch up and talk during coffee and cake. Thereafter we turn our attention to the biblical topic. During the Bible study afternoons we try to tap into the Bible texts and reveal their astonishing relevance for our lives today. All participants are warmly invited to share any questions, doubts, experiences and curiosity they may have. Bible study afternoons are open to anyone looking to talk about the Bible and their faith with others. Our parish afternoon sessions, which cover a range of interchanging topics, are also held on Tuesdays at 3.30 PM.
