Open House and Festive Service
Now the big moment has finally arrived: after more than ten years of planning and six years of construction, we are delighted to celebrate the reopening of the Hohenzollern Crypt.
On Saturday, 28 February 2026, we will open the doors of Berlin Cathedral wide to all interested parties. Our open day is intended as a warm gift to the people of Berlin and visitors to the city. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission at 5 p.m.), everyone is invited to visit Berlin Cathedral and the Hohenzollern Crypt free of charge and to rediscover this impressive place.
On Sunday, 1 March 2026, at 10 a.m., we will continue the celebrations with a grand festive service attended by guests from politics, the church, culture and society. The sermon will be given by Church President Dorothee Wüst.
We very much look forward to experiencing this special weekend together with you.
