Cathedral Council
The governing body of Berlin Cathedral is called the Cathedral Church Council (DKK). It comprises twelve honorary cathedral councillors and the cathedral preachers.
On 30 November 2025, the cathedral parish elected eight cathedral church councillors and four substitute elders, who were appointed as deputy cathedral church councillors, for a term of six years. Four additional cathedral church councillors are appointed by the Union of Evangelical Churches (UEK), the Regional Church (EKBO), the Federal Government and the Berlin Senate. In addition, the chairperson of the parish council and the administrative director participate in the monthly meetings as permanent guests.
