Place of tranquillity – Group

Berlin Cathedral has maintained a separate place of tranquillity since autumn 2013.

All visitors have the chance to say a prayer or light a candle here. The room is accessible free of charge from Friday 11 AM till 5 PM. The entrance is clearly visible, and is located on the castle side of our Cathedral (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße). Visitor numbers to date reveal the need for such a place of reflection and calm within the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a burgeoning metropolis.

• Volunteers share responsibility for supervising the day-to-day running of the Cathedral, as well as dealing with matters such as candles, leaflets and flyers for Cathedral events and ensuring that quiet is maintained throughout
