Cathedral upkeep fee

You are supporting Berlin Cathedral with your admission fee! Unlike other parishes, Berlin Cathedral Parish has to generate 97% of its annual budget itself. Only 3% originates from church taxes and grants awarded by the state of Berlin. We require approximately €15,000 PER DAY for the upkeep of the listed building, musicians, worship services, electricity, security, members of staff and much more.

Opening times for the concert box office

You can buy tickets for the various events in the Berlin Cathedral at our concert box office. We do not charge an advance booking fee for this. If you wish, we can send the tickets you book with us by phone to your home for a handling fee.

You are welcome to send us your ticket requests and questions by e-mail at ticket(a)berlinerdom.de, by phone at 030 202 69 136 or visit our concert box office directly in the Berlin Cathedral during regular opening hours and before the concert begins.

special security procedures

Please note that suitcases, large bags and rucksacks may not be taken into Berlin Cathedral. This measure applies for concerts, visits and church services and is unfortunately necessary for security reasons. There are several lockers in the Cathedral arcades which we invite you to use for your luggage.

Accessibility

The Cathedral has barrier-free access. This entrance is located on the building's north side, to the left of the main portal, and is indicated by a sign. There is a bell and an intercom system there that allows you to notify the duty porter. The porter will assist you in exploring Berlin Cathedral. Should you have any further questions, please telephone: +49 30 20269 136.
