Berlin Cathedral Brass Ensemble

The Berlin Cathedral Wind Orchestra is an ensemble that performs on a multitude of occasions both within and beyond the walls of Berlin Cathedral. They often practice on a regular basis, sometimes on a project basis, but always with a huge amount of joy and enthusiasm during their efforts to live up to the challenging musical standards expected by their conductor, Cathedral Organist Andreas Sieling.

If you have a solid command of a brass instrument and believe that it would be a wonderful and enriching experience to play as part of the Berlin Cathedral Brass Ensemble, we would be delighted if you would get in touch with us.

Tasks:
Musical accompaniment of services of worship, performances during celebratory occasions including beyond the walls of Berlin Cathedral, performing at Vespers and concerts

Requirements:
Excellent brass instrument playing skills, ability to read music, a foundation understanding of music, an appreciation of the fact that rehearsals are necessary

Time and effort:
Regular independent use of the instrument, availability during the church holidays and participation in the rehearsals
