Internships
Organ internship
of Berlin (Cathedral of Berlin) regularly offers a six-month paid internship (currently € 350.- monthly) to service the historical Sauer organ (IV/113, 1905). Tasks include supporting the Cathedral organist, primarily during worship. Applicants should have completed studies of Church Music (A).

Introduction to the Schuke organ of the Baptismal and Matrimonial Chapel of the Cathedral of Berlin

Elaboration of the order of worship (midday and evening worship)
Elaboration of evensong format
Elaboration of Cathedral vespers format
Elaboration of Taize worship format
Preparation of worship, religious services, Cathedral vespers, and concerts
Introduction to choral accompaniment with particular attention to the acoustics of the church space
How do I structure a tour of the organ?

Setting the organ stops for organ works – beautifully, but efficiently

Duration: Preferably c. 3 months, starting date to be arranged.
Working hours: Full time, but flexible, according to the requirements of current projects. That can certainly include occasional evening and weekend duty, but this is compensated with corresponding free days.
Payment: These internships are, unfortunately, unpaid.
